Annual White Paper

Each year, the Chamber publishes a "White Paper" that sets forth the positions of the Howard County Chamber of Commerce on issues that are critical to the business interests of Howard County. The Chamber presents this document as the first step in fostering a constructive dialogue between the business community and our elected officials toward the common goal of ensuring a healthy and prosperous business climate in Howard County. The process of developing this report meets three key objectives: Engagement of our members in the political process and the examination of legislative and public policy issues. Delineation of issues that the Chamber can champion on behalf of our membership. Development of a platform for reviewing and commenting on legislation.

Issues for Legislative Action 2008 was presented in November 2007 at the Chamber's annual Legislative Breakfast.
