Business Alliance
In early 2007, the Chamber launched an ad hoc committee called the Business Alliance. This group consists of senior level business executives, owners and civic leaders, including major employers, retail and service business owners, realtors, developers and downtown property owners. The group was convened to represent community and business interests in select Howard County public dialogues.
The first undertaking of the Business Alliance was to specifically represent the community and business interests in the discussions concerning the development in
Columbia's Town Center. Future development presents many opportunities, and the Chamber's Business Alliance is committed to partnering with elected officials to ensure the continued success of Howard County.
