Business
Assistance and Member Education
The
Chamber is committed to ensuring that
members have access to the information
and tools they need to be a success. We
help forge partnerships with premier
sources of business and workforce
training such as Howard Community
College and the Howard County Business
Resource Center. We gather data from our
members on the information and
development tools that they need to
succeed and translate it into resources
and programs that we can deliver on a
timely basis:
-
Member to Member Education – This
program helps deliver the latest data,
tips, skills, and tools to members by
connecting them with the expertise of
their fellow members through short
seminars and collaborative sessions
organized around central themes – the
topics that members tell us are most
important to them.

-
New and Future Member Orientation
– The members of the Board of Directors
and the Chamber staff offer an in-depth
look at what we do. Most importantly,
however, we listen – we are dedicated to
our members’ success and look forward to
hearing from each of them about the ways
we can help them achieve their goals.

References and Resources – As a
Chamber, we can be a clearinghouse for
resource and reference materials that
can help business succeed. US Small
Business Administration guides, elected
official rosters and emergency
preparedness information are just
samples of the printed materials that
are available at the Chamber office. We
can also point the way to the sources
for information on issues that many
employers face such as finding local
transportation and childcare for your
employees. We are always on the lookout
for the information that you need and
ways to make it available.
