Connect with
the Chamber

Howard County
is centrally located between Washington,
DC and Baltimore in a region that is now
the fourth largest market in the United
States. The Chamber serves as the
premier advocate for business in the
region, continuing a commitment to
business success for 36 years. The
growth of the Howard County Chamber of
Commerce parallels that of the County.
It is one of the largest Chambers of
Commerce in the state of Maryland and is
situated in an area where the number of
prosperous businesses has increased
exponentially in the past 30 years.
While the
Chamber is principally located in the
Chamber of Commerce Building at 5560
Sterrett Place in Columbia, Maryland
(21044), we are dedicated to serving
businesses virtually everywhere. We are
available to callers via the phone and
have a professional staff dedicated to
customer service to assist with
everything from finding a member
business, to event registration, to
relocation information – calls that
number in the thousands each month.
The Internet instantly creates almost
750 satellite Chamber offices – right at
each member location – and even more
around the world. Chamber members can
also find us in print – our directory is
a great way to find goods and services.
In fact, many members tell us that they
use the Chamber Membership Directory and
Buyers’ Guide as they
would the “yellow pages”
consulting it first for any need they
may have. We produce a newsletter that
is mailed quarterly and send e-mail
updates monthly in addition to periodic
mail pieces all designed to keep members
supplied with up to the minute
information.
Finally, our
commitment to connecting with our
members in person – face to face – has
never been stronger. In 2004-2005 over
4500 people attended events hosted at
the Chamber and at 30 member business
locations.
