The Howard County Chamber of Commerce works with the Howard County Public School System to help prepare students for the future workforce.

Passport to the Future is a workforce preparation program for students who are interested in pursuing a career immediately after high school graduation. The Chamber has been a partner with Passport since its inception and helps with student interviews, serves on the Passport Advisory Board and also helps to identify potential worksite placements for students.

The Chamber also supports the many career education programs of the school system by helping to identify Chamber members to serve as advisory board members, assist with student interviews, shadow days and other volunteer opportunities.
